About Us

Founded in 1963, The Carson Center for Human Services is a private, nonprofit, community-based agency which provides an array of behavioral health and rehabilitation services. Carson Center clinical programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Clients come from Westfield and the many surrounding cities and towns. Specialized programs serve people in the greater Springfield area, the Franklin-North Quabbin region, and throughout Western Massachusetts.

Affiliated with Noble Hospital, and working in collaboration with other community agencies, the Carson Center provides services for children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.

  • To maintain a supportive environment that promotes the personal and professional growth of all who work with us
  • To act with integrity and fairness in all relationships and transactions

Funding

The Carson Center accepts most third-party insurances, including MassHealth, Medicare, Blue Cross, private insurances, and managed care/health maintenance organizations.

Many of our specialized services are supported wholly or in part by contracts with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation, and the Statewide Head Injury Program.
