Urban Youth Collaboration Program

Urban Youth Collaboration Program
If you have experience working with children or adults with disabilities, and you are interested in working for our popular Kamp for Kids summer day camp program, you may be eligible to apply for our Urban Youth Collaborative.

We provide a paid summer internship experience for students in college or entering college (age 18-25). If you can work well with a wide range of people, and you have good communication skills, reliable transportation and no criminal or sexual offenses in your record, you may be eligible for this opportunity. The program runs Monday through Friday from mid June to late August and is 32 .5 hours per week.

Our goal is to introduce students to Human Services as a possible career through paid, college credit-eligible summer employment while providing additional supports for people with developmental disabilities. We want to help build a workforce that reflects the communities served by the Department of Developmental Services.
