Self-Advocacy Group

The Self-Advocacy Program encourages individuals 18 years and older to take greater control of their lives, become more independent, and to identify and speak out about their needs, concerns and dreams.

The meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. They are organized and facilitated by the members.

Members work to improve the quality of life for themselves and others in the community. Members also help each other to achieve personal goals and the goals of the group.

The Self-Advocacy Group organizes and runs social, community, and fundraising activities. Members can also hold officer positions and be part of local and state wide committees or boards.
